Any savings by using BackBlaze are now wiped out by the extra $50 required monthly by Xfinity. For months, we’ve been uploading 1.5TB/month using BackBlaze. They charge us extra if we use more the 1TB. To compound matters, our ISP, Comcast/Xfinity now restricts our data usage. Their answer after each backup screw up - delete your 8TB of backups and start yet again! (We did that twice, and the third time ran out of ISP data usage!) We’ve had a full complete backup once in the past 8 months. However BackBlaze repeatedly screwed up our backups this year now that we’ve grown large due to 4K video and higher resolution Nikon D500 pictures. I still think BackBlaze is a good choice if you only have a few TeraBytes (1,000 GB = 1 TB), say < 3 or 4TB. For years now I have recommended BackBlaze to family and friends, but this year it has failed us and we were forced to look for a different alternative.
